This month for Cider Club we will be tasting 4 different Bourbon barrel aged ciders. Two of the ciders are currently available, our 2020 Bourbon Barrel bottle release and our 2021 Bourbon Barrel currently on draft. The other two ciders we just pulled from barrels and will likely not be released outside of the Cider Club tasting. The first is a 2021 Single Varietal Spitzenburg aged in a freshly dumped Buffalo Trace Weller barrel, and the second is a lighter blend of apples aged in a second use Buffalo Trace Weller barrel. During the tasting we will be talking about how we use barrels, how we blend different barrels, and the differences between American oak Bourbon barrels and French oak barrels.
